Sunday 30th March
Under 9's

Brecon travelled away to Llandovery on Sunday and the sun seemed to shine on Brecon, the under 9's started off at a tremendous pace with speedy Rhys Evans scoring 3 tries, Gareth Price close on his heels with 2, and Ben Amphlett, Thomas Whitcomb & Sam Hellard with 1 a piece. It was an excellent team performance by all as Llandovery never gave up but outstanding tackles by Ben & Gareth saw that Llandovery held fast with 3 tries to Brecon's 8. The coaches couldn't pick between Rhys Evans & Gareth Price as Man of the Match so decided that they were both to have the honour.

Under10's

Brecon played on a very wet and narrow pitch, but after Llandovery conceded a penalty near their try line Tom Wood saw the opening and charged over. It was a hard fought 1st half with solid tackling from both sides especially Aled Davies from Llandovery ( who must be following in his fathers footsteps). From the start of the second half Brecon the more determined of the two sides and scrum half Jac Powell ran over with two tries.

Under 11's

This was a very close and hard fought game that saw Llandovery the victors with a 4-3 win.
Alex Bush set the ball rolling for Brecon after Rory Miles-Roberts offloaded the ball for him to tear down the wing for his 1st try. It was forward Edward Lewis next to score for Brecon his support play was reward with a cracking try, but it was Alex who intercepted the ball on the halfway line and after a quick side step sped down the pitch. It was a great team effort with Brecon never given up.

Wednesday 2nd April

Brecon travelled away to Lucton on Wednesday with teams from under 12's down to under 9's.

Under 9's

Brecon won 13-1 with tries from that speedy Rhys Evans (4) , Dafydd Edwards following closely scoring 3, Ben Amphlett 2, Harry Preece , Barnaby Chapman , Sam Hellard & Mackenzie all scoring 1 each.
This was an amazing display of teamwork by all players especially after having to adapt to the different English rules but it was Harry Preece that walked away with the Man of the Match.

Under10's

Brecon under 10's also found themselves playing different rules but this didn't deter them. Alex Ryan opened up the scoring with a lovely individual effort.Will Prosser not to be out done saw an opening down the wing and dived over for his 1st of the night. Brecon found themselves fighting to gain ground from the half way line, but it was Sophie Pritchard that ripped the ball out to pass out for Alex Ryan to break free and charge through the Lucton defence and finally offload to Josh Phillips to dive over in the far corner.
Brecon found themselves back on their 22, but it was Alex again to steal the ball and sprint down the pitch to go over for his 2nd.
Will Prosser picked the ball from a maul to crash his way over, Jac Powell ran over to make it 30- 0 and half time.
It was Jac to start the ball rolling again from the re-start with a lovely solo run. Sophie was in the thick off it again and release the ball to Dafydd Jones who tore up the pitch to offload to Tomas Griffin who flew over the line. After getting a taste for scoring Tomas didn't waste any time in scoring his 2nd after weaving in and out of the Lucton defence. Will Prosser finished it off after Alex tapped the ball from the line out to Will and he crashed over final score Brecon 50 Lucton 0. It was another superb all round team effort.

Under 11's

This was a fast and thrilling game with Brecon winning 9 tries to 1. After good support play between Harry Evans & Rory Myles-Roberts, Rory speed over. Harry Evans scored after Lucton dropped the ball on the try line and Harry was quick to pounce on it, he was quick to score again after a superb pass from Jonathon Hellard saw Harry run over for his 2nd.
Alex Bush also scored 2 tries. The 1st was a lovely side step that outwitted the Lucton defence and saw him dive over. The 2nd try came from loose play and Alex weaved through the players to charge over again. James Hellard also scored 2, a great solo effort for the 1st try by ripping the ball from a Lucton player 10 yards out and diving over. The next try he drove over and placed the ball down. Edward Lewis was on the score sheet again also scoring two, the first was a 5 meter dash to run over and the next try was from fantastic supporting play. Harry Evans also made to outstanding try saving tackles. Both coaches extremely pleased with the boys fantastic performance.
